Six Vibes — Community Guidelines
Draft — this document is under legal review and may change before launch.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Six Vibes is for adults who are available and looking for someone likeminded to spend time with. That can mean a bike ride, a museum, a drink, a night out or a date. The vibes do the sorting — we don't judge what consenting adults meet for. What we do insist on is that everyone is an adult, honest, respectful and safe.
Breaking these guidelines can get your content removed and your account suspended or banned. There is zero tolerance for abusive users and objectionable content.
1. Adults only
- Everyone on Six Vibes must be 18 or older and pass our age check.
- Anything involving minors is banned outright — sexualised or not. Accounts are suspended immediately on a credible report.
- If you think someone is under 18, report them with "Suspected minor". These reports skip the queue.
2. Be yourself
- Use real, recent photos of you, with your face clearly visible. No group shots where nobody can tell which one is you, no celebrities, no cartoons, no other people's photos.
- Don't impersonate anyone or pretend to be someone you're not.
- One account per person.
3. Consent comes first
- Being on the same vibe — including romance — is an invitation to talk, not consent to anything.
- "No", silence or a block means no. Don't keep messaging someone who isn't responding or has said they're not interested.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time, including in the middle of a date.
- Never pressure anyone, and never meet someone who is too drunk or impaired to decide for themselves.
4. Respect
Not allowed:
- harassment, threats, insults, bullying or intimidation;
- hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age;
- unsolicited sexual messages;
- sharing someone's private information (address, workplace, phone number, photos) without permission;
- trying to locate, follow or show up on someone — including comparing map positions from different spots to work out where someone lives.
5. No nudity, anywhere
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in photos, bios or messages — including private chats. (Chats are text only anyway.)
- Swimwear and similar are fine if they're not sexually suggestive. When in doubt, we reject.
6. No illegal, violent or dangerous content
- No content promoting violence, weapons, self-harm or terrorism.
- No selling or buying drugs, weapons or anything else illegal.
- No sexual services for payment, escorting or sex-work advertising.
7. No scams, spam or selling
- Never ask anyone for money, gifts, bank or card details, codes or crypto — and never send them. Anyone asking is almost certainly a scammer: report them.
- No advertising, promotions, recruiting, pyramid schemes or investment offers.
- No bots, automated messaging or bulk messages.
- Don't try to move people to other platforms to get around our rules.
8. Plans and places
- Only create plans you actually intend to keep. Cancel if you can't make it.
- Never put a plan's pin on your home or anyone else's — use a café, a park, a neighbourhood.
9. Meeting in person — safety tips
- Meet in a busy public place the first time. Not at your home or theirs.
- Tell a friend where you're going, who you're meeting and when you'll check in.
- Arrange your own transport there and back.
- Keep your phone charged. Stay in control of your drink and don't leave it unattended.
- Keep chatting in the app until you trust someone — it's where Report and Block work.
- Don't share your home address, workplace or financial information.
- Trust your instincts. You can leave at any time, for any reason.
- If you are in danger, call 112. Then report the person in the app.
10. Report and block
- Block someone and you instantly disappear from each other's map, plans and chats.
- Report a profile or any individual message. Pick a reason; we'll acknowledge it and tell you our decision.
- Reporting is confidential — we don't tell the person who reported them.
- Please don't make false or malicious reports; misuse of reporting is itself a breach of these guidelines.
11. What happens if you break the rules
Depending on how serious it is: content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban. Serious offences (minors, threats, violence, sexual exploitation) lead to an immediate ban and may be reported to the police. You'll get a statement of reasons and can appeal — see our DSA Moderation & Transparency Policy.
